Photoshoot Planning Document

Date and time of photo shoot: 28th January at 02:10 - 03:10

Material to be shot: For my front cover I was going to have a model dressed up like Marilyn Monroe as she is going to be the main talking point in my 1st article, but i decided that it wasnt going to be possible to do this as it was going to take a long time to try and find the right looking model for the job. I will have to create a still life photoshoot that includes different objects that would represent marilyn monroes life. I will need another model for the ‘Can’t handle the stress’ article as well as a model for my ‘Our sex life has flumped’ article. For my 'Cant handle the stress' article, I would like images of a teenager that creates the illusion and emotion of stress through the imagery. For my 'Our sex life has flumped' article I would like imagery of another average teenager, but show the different shapes of body parts she has and maybe use the camera to show the distortion in the images.

What personnel do you need?

Lighting assistant: Chris mariner
Makeup assistant: N/A (can be done by myself)
Models: 2 models

 What props will you need?

I will need many props for my Marilyn Monroe shoot, all of the different objects need to represent Marilyn Monroe and an aspect of her life in particular. I was thinking of including objects such as make up bags, scarves, channel perfume, red lipstick (this was one of her most used items of make up), lots of pearls etc. The model in the 'can't handle the stress' article will be dressed casual but her hair will be messed up and she could grasp her t-shirt to make her look stressed out. I dont need any props for my 'Our sex life has flumped' article because I mainly want to concentrate on the models body shape, showing that you can feel confident with any sort of body shape.

Studio shoots: what kind of lighting?

Backdrop:  The back drop for the shoots will be white; most of Marilyn’s shoots had white backdrops. I think this also creates clearer more professional looking images with a white background.

Lighting equipment needs: I will be using narrow lighting; I believe it shows the model in the best light.
